SAUTE Travel and Resources Award

How It Works

Doctoral students and post-doctoral researchers who are SAUTE members are eligible to apply for a SAUTE Travel and Resources Award of up to CHF 500 per person. The award is made for expenses incurred for travel expenses, costs for archival work, or digitization fees for the year concerned or year after.

Ordinarily, a total of CHF 3,000 is available each year, plus any donations made by SAUTE members to the travel and resources fund. In determining eligibility, the Board will consider an applicant’s employment status.

Applicants should send an email to the SAUTE President by the deadline (see right) with “SAUTE Travel Fund Application” in the subject line. Attached to the email there needs to be a single PDF with the following information presented in the following order:

  1. the name of the applicant and institutional affiliation;
  2. a complete budget clearly specifying the amount of SAUTE funding requested and any other sources of funding either secured or sought;
  3. a short (max. 200 words) project description;
  4. a short (max. 1 page) CV attesting to current employment status; and,
  5. copies of relevant bills and receipts. (If these are not available at the time, they will be needed before funds can be disbursed.)
