This spring, Nastacia Schmoll (Zurich) and Tammy Imboden (Basel) founded the Swiss Literary PhD Network (DocNetCH, for short), a network of PhD students of literary studies across Switzerland. The network’s inaugural event, “Actor-Network Theory and Literary Interpretation,” took place in April and was attended by around 20 PhD candidates from Basel, Bern, Geneva, Neuchâtel and Zurich. The aims of the network include connecting PhD candidates of literary studies across philologies and disciplines from any university within Switzerland in both formal and informal settings. We aim to foster professional relationships, scientific exchange and support for each others’ projects, particularly through our biannual workshops, organised and led by our members. DocNetCH has a mailing list that any doctoral candidate can join, as well as a WhatsApp group to establish more informal contact between participants.
